York Lidar Data 2019
Title
York Lidar Data 2019
Description
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) data is a remote sensing technology that uses laser pulses to create highly detailed three-dimensional representations of the Earth’s surface. LiDAR datasets provide precise elevation and surface information and are commonly used for terrain analysis, mapping, environmental studies, urban planning, and archaeological research.
This dataset covers the area corresponding to the historic York County in Ontario, now largely represented by the modern York Region. It also extends into the Toronto, including the former municipalities of Scarborough and Etobicoke, as well as surrounding municipalities such as Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Aurora, Newmarket, Whitchurch-Stouffville, and King, encompassing a broad portion of the northern Greater Toronto Area.
